Guiding university choice

Module progress:

Session one: Exercise one

Choosing a subject to study

We will now focus on what subject you want to study. As you have already seen there is a vast amount of choice. So how do you approach this?

Let’s start by thinking a little bit about yourself, what interests you, and where you want to be in the future.

  • What career do you have in mind?
  • What subjects do you really enjoy?
  • What subjects are you really good at?
  • Is there a subject that interests you that you haven’t had the opportunity to study yet?

At the start of this course you printed off some Exercise Handouts. Find Handout ‘A’ and spend 5 minutes filling in the table. You will need to refer back to the Handouts later on in the course (make sure you put your name on them).
