AccessHE Online is a digital platform for anyone wishing to learn more about the various higher education opportunities that exist in London. Prospective students, teachers and careers advisers, and parents/carers can all access relevant information, advice and guidance relating to HE, as well as experiencing for themselves what HE study in London is really like, through taster content.

Background

Founded in 2011 and a key division of London Higher, AccessHE is the pan-London widening access to higher education network. We work with learners from underrepresented backgrounds to enable them to access, succeed in and benefit from HE study. We do this by working collaboratively with our HEI members as well as with schools, colleges and other local partners on a range of outreach and student engagement projects.

We are a delivery partner in the Uni Connect Programme and through this, we help schools across London to offer HE outreach to their pupils, especially to those pupils from low-income backgrounds and/or living in areas of low participation in HE, as well as to learners from BAME groups, with a disability, and/or without family support.

Our Uni Connect work and other AccessHE projects are delivered either wholly or partly online. London is unique in the breadth and diversity of its HE offer. AccessHE online provides an online window and snapshot of the London offer, making it easier for prospective students to understand the many HE opportunities that exist for them in the capital. The AccessHE Online platform is a means of bringing together online outreach initiatives and resources created by ourselves and our HEI members to make London HE accessible to anyone, anywhere, any time.
