Key Dates

It is important to have a sense of the application cycle timeline so that you are able to adequately prepare for what is coming next for your students. Below are the key dates for 2017 applicants, these dates change year on year so it is best to always check the UCAS webiste:

  • 15 January 2020 – UCAS deadline for most applicants.
  • 25 February 2020 – UCAS Extra begins – if applicants haven’t used all five choices and they are not holding any offers they might be able to add another choice. The last date to apply in Extra is 4 July.
  • 4 May 2020 – If applicants receive all their university/college decisions by 31 March, applicants must reply to any offers by 4 May or they’ll be declined.
  • 5 May 2020 – If applicants applied by 15 January and they are still waiting, universities/colleges will decide whether they’re making an offer by 5 May.
  • 30 June 2020 – Applications received after 30 June are entered into Clearing.
  • 6 July 2020 – UCAS Clearing opens.
  • 6 July 2020 – International Baccalaureate results published.
